Fluidity
Resin, glass, photographic transparencies
Fluidity is inspired by a childhood memory of dancing and twirling, reimagined through the lens of femme architecture. Reflective blocks are stacked in structured yet shifting towers, capturing the sense of play and instability in memory. As the blocks align and then misalign, the images becomes pixelated much the way memories blur and change over time. The tower, both rising and teetering, reveal glimpses of figures within. It’s hard to know whether this piece is being constructed or falling apart, embodying the tension between change and continuity.
